How can My Organization Apply for a Grant? Important note: Applications can only be considered if they are submitted by or on behalf of organizations with 501(3)c status. A copy of an IRS letter confirming this must be included with the application Parties interested in receiving a grant award from the Fund must complete an application. Applicants requesting $500 or less need only complete the Grant Proposal Cover Sheet. Applicants requesting more than $500 must submit a full proposal as described in the Grant Proposal Format. The Grant Cover Sheet and Proposal Format are available from the Miller Community Fund web site, www.MillerCommunityFund.org The Fund Management Committee will meet at least quarterly to review grant applications. Applications worthy of grant will be identified and a grant amount will be determined. Awards will be made directly from the Legacy Foundation based upon the decisions of the Fund Management Committee. Exclusions Grants will not be made for lobbying or any type of political activity or organization. Grants will not be paid to individuals. Scholarship awards will be paid directly to the educational institution. Grants will not be made to purchase products, tickets or any other item specifically marketed as a fundraising item.
